Columbia Slough Water Quality Facility

Client: City of Gresham

Scope:

The City of Gresham wanted a regional stormwater facility to treat runoff flowing from commercial and industrial land to the south of Sandy Boulevard. Pre-construction, the runoff from the developed area flowed untreated into the Columbia Slough, which is listed as water quality limited by DEQ.  An approximately 9.5-acre facility accepting all stormwater and treating it prior to discharge into the Slough was created. This project was identified as one of the highest priority projects in the Columbia Slough Watershed Action Plan, and also won 2008 Stormwater Project of the Year from the Oregon Chapter of the American Public Works Association.

PHS Team:

Conducted wetland delineation, natural resource assessment, planting plan, permitting, design, and construction.
